In keeping with other dance week traditions, we offer the Bal Blanc,
with a potpourri of vintage dance of the 19th and 20th Centuries.
This event will feature the DJ mastery of Richard Powers. White
or pastel summer clothing, vintage or otherwise, is recommended.
MONDAY, July 24 -- RAGTIME RHYTHM
From 1900 though WWI, new dance forms arose in response to new,
synchopated music. "Everybody's Doing It," and we will,
too, in our best ragtime finery. Music by the Heliotrope Ragtime
Orchestra.
TUESDAY
AFTERNOON , July 25th -- CIVILIZED DIVERSIONS
Victorian and Edwardian outdoor activities, like croquet, lawn bowling,
seeing and being seen and a presentation on Victorian pastimes by
Walter Nelson.

July 25 -- SHIP AHOY!
A nautical dance and costuming evening circa the 1890s aboard the
historic 1905 Berkeley Ferry Boat moored in San Diego Harbor. Live
music quartet and no host bar.

WEDNESDAY,
July 26 -- GILBERT, SULLIVAN & DANCING
An evening of Gilbert & Sullivan, followed by dancing
to DJ'ed music.
THURSDAY, July 27 -- SOUTH OF THE BORDER
It's a Jazz Age sizzler, with those exploding sounds and sultry
steps of the 1920s & 1930s at the fabulous 1920s Rosarito
Beach Hotel in Baja. Optional trip to Foxploration in afternoon.
We'll have rooms to change, so wear your fancy flapper or
best Fred & Ginger in the evening.

July 28 -- ROMANTIC NOTIONS
Our dance week culminates with our mid-19th Century era formal
ball. Music by Grand Pacific Waltz & Quick-Step Orchestra.
Victorian formal wear with all the hoop-la, mid-19th Century
especially.
